daffas-Summer Challenge
 

I think I'm going to try to model a rusty sword. I think it should be easy enough for me since I haven't touched Maya for like a year now. So we will see how far I get before quitting. Hopefully I wont this time. LOL

hah, i was thinking of doing the same thing but with a sheild as well :p
but i didn't know if it would stick with Mike's rules since he said it has to be an everyday item.... although to me a sword is an everyday item cuz its what i play with every day :)

Opps, Dang I didn't see that part of the rules I wonder if its ok? They use to be every day items way back when.

the last part looks a little strange compared to the first, but i guess you can stick with the sword

I will keep working on the sword until I find out otherwise. I asked in the rules for the competition.

Here is the start of the sword. I think I will be adding more detail just have to figure out how, and what to add.

Here is an update. I made the hilt less of a square and made it fit around the blade better. I also made the sword thicker to give it more of a stronger feel. Anyone have any suggestions?
