i could feel that the globe is not so smooth? imho, i think if the globe is smooth, it would look more nice :attn: |
Yea, on the globe itself, on the top part, you can see the subdivisions. Just smooth it out, and itll look great. Wheres the falling snow? :)

nice :)
btw, do ya think, if it is possible to show us the thickness of the glass? the glass is too think imho. in real globe, the glass is quite thick coz usually the put water or liquid or oil inside, so that when you shake it, all the snows or what ever inside the globe would animate. just my 10 cents |
You're on the right track man!
That wood is really beautiful! The glass needs something. It seems more like the scewne inside is being seen through a magnifying glass rather than some actually INSIDE a glass globe. Are you using a two sided peice of glass? I'm just trying to put my finger on the reason it looks that way. also you might want to use two objects, one for glass, one for water, each with their own index of refraction. water is ( i think )1.3 and glass is like 1.2 or something. Just my opinion. ( and it really is pretty ) Indogo 2000 |
the reflections on the first globe were better imho but I like the snowman in the second
nice image though :) |
i like it,but the snow looks a bit big. other then that good job! ;)

Add the bump maps on the trees to represent the layers of snow or maybe even disp. maps...
Good work! |
