we'd love to hear some of your thoughts about it..may it be bad or good..

thanks..

DJbLAZER 18-11-2005 02:15 PM

One thing that bothered me was the absence of shadows indoors. And some sounds was too obvious repeated.

cornholio 18-11-2005 02:47 PM

thanks blazer..

we're currently redoing the render of the indoor and some outdoor scenes..

i'll update this as soon as its done..

we havent the chance to edit it sooner cause we were rushing it up for the MIPCOM convention last october..

anyway..thanks again..

note taken..

IMO the modelling, texturing, concept are all brilliant it's just the animation what lets it down, it doesn't seem real to me, I'm sorry I can't explain any better, I think maybe it's all animated at the same speed as opposed to at some stages there it should have been slowed down to get a better feel. Though I admit I'm no animator and overall it was excellent and I especially found the jumping across the roof tops hilarious (you know which part I mean). Hope you take this as constructive as you've done a far better job than myself

cornholio 18-11-2005 03:49 PM

thanks j5ive..

we really did have a problem synching different animators' animations..we think, its the pipeline we used during the course of the production. and also maybe because the lack of coordination..

your thought are greatly appreciated..

cheers!

still getting this.

I remember viewing the first piece produced which was quite a funny piece of animation, indoor sequence with him alone and he was getting shot mutiple times and then decided to take care of the situation, ended with his sword being thrown at him, is this the same one? if not then look forward to seeing the next installment. :D

cornholio 22-11-2005 11:08 PM

sorry cung.. we still havent upgraded our bandwidth..

but it'll be back real soon..maybe later this day..

ahh, you still remembered the first one..thanks..

this is different..entirely different. we added a scene with diego's family, a pesky kid (fight scene), a scene at his school..and a lot more..

thanks man..

Shadeblade 22-11-2005 11:12 PM

The only C&C I have is the camera angles and movements. Specifically the shot choices in the bedroom. They seemed very unatural. By that I mean they tend to make the viewer aware that you are watching through a camera and not actually in the bedroom.

As with anything else, the more time spent on it the better it will come out.

I am a huge fan of martial arts and of animated shorts, so I am happy to give to thumbs up!

fett_connection 04-12-2005 03:10 PM

How long did the short take to create?

cung 16-12-2005 09:26 PM

finally got hold of it, some bits were great and some bits weren't. but one thing that stood out was the soundtrack, it didn't quite suit the animation.
kind of notice some deformation errors here and there, but the roof scene was fantastic, most of the guys that viewed it thought that was the best part of the animation.
on the whole it was pretty good.
