Fur mapping?
 

Hi, is it possible to use a map to define which areas obtain fur, like a bump map but instead it would locate where the fur grows?

well you dont need a map, but you acn make one from your painted fur
just paint fur onto your model using the paint fur attribute tool and in advanced fur under ur fur menu create fur maps :)
