Vote for your favorite Steampunk Entry!

Vote for your favorite! Once again, the winner of this vote is not necessarily the winner of the challenge. Don't forget to look at the entries over at SL!

TalNinja 13-04-2007 12:08 PM

:ninja: I'm aware that "the winner of this vote is not necessarily the winner of the challenge", but can this poll be opened for everybody?

:alien: Can I invite my external friends to vote as well?

goksimaster 13-04-2007 01:24 PM

That would be a big mistake , as I fiend out. but i didnt even invited them , they came on theri own:confused:

3d m@niak of course

mtmckinley 13-04-2007 01:35 PM

I of course can't stop you, but I would prefer that legitimate members of the community were the ones voting

This image was delivered to me by a motorcyclist friend of mine.

mtmckinley 13-04-2007 02:46 PM

only registered members can vote

goksimaster 13-04-2007 04:21 PM

I think that this vote is definitely set up. And that this is a disgrace

Whats a "set up" about it?

sandman300 13-04-2007 05:33 PM

This pole shows something very interesting. There is a significant difference in pure numbers of people at the forums.
At least thats assuming that no one gave up on voting because they didn't want to regeister for another forum just to vote for a simple pole. Not to mention how many Maya people have seen the SL models for the same reason? If this is true for just one person, then the poll is meaningless.

I was posting away like mad but hardly anyone responded, and those who did had little to contribute. And I'd look over at SM and lots of people were posting. More than that, there was real constructive crits. I envy you. At least this is something to look forward to when the merger goes through. Any Idea when thats going to happen?

publicFunction 13-04-2007 06:17 PM

Im sorry to see the LW and Max side of the site have died away so rapidly.

I too will be glad to get the merger done to a get a proper 3D community for all 3 Apps and whateve else is added.

I had totally forgotten about SL even being in the comp until the voting started. I registered at SL and checked out the entries before I voted. I will be visiting there from time to time from here on.

:alien: Totally man, totaly... I feel just like an external. ;)

I've asked in SL, if a copy of our models can be place here as well.
Hey... we can do it ourselves. Just open the thread for us. :p

jsprogg 13-04-2007 11:34 PM

I do visit SL but to be honest the community there always seems a little aloof or maybe it's just that I don't visit often enough.
Another thing about contructive crits is I don't really know that much about Lightwave so don't feel qualified to offer too much advise.
Hope this will change when the site merger goes ahead.
David did mention he would like to try and get it done by the end of the month so hopefully not too long to wait now :)

LOL, hope thats a joke.

I went for Jsprogg as it was the best steam punk model in my opinion, 3d Maniak's was great, but it was a scene rarther than a model, also it, for me, was not as steampunk as Jasprogg's.
