How do I Smooth Edges
 

So i've been building a Mesh and am hit a problem. I want to creat a circular shelf but i can not seem to smooth out the polygon mesh.

The Edges are not smooth, they look like this.

And I want them to look like they would if they were NURB Edge like this.

So How do I smooth out the edges on a Polygon?

hi

i dont know what version of maya you're using, but if you go into edit polygons> Normals>soften/harden>all soft,

it might do the trick

or just go to mesh>smooth

i thought the mesh>smooth command did unexpected results.... well it does sometimes.

it's easier just to grab the edges and use the smooth function...
uhh, i dont have maya in front of me and it's been a few months since i played maya...

umm, you can find the option if you hold down shift or control and the right mouse button'

or do what jali said

Mesh.smooth doesnt give unexpected results, its the same as smooth..... HAHA
