Hey guys,

Been a while since I've posted any of my work. I've been busy with a lot of things over the summer, so it's slowed down my Maya work a bit. Plus, I thought ZB3 would've been out for the Mac by now, and I was really hoping to learn how to use that.

This is my last SM tut that I'm going to do. I find it impressive that I keep learning several things after all the tuts that I've done. After I finish the modeling, texturing, and animation on this project, I'm hoping that ZB4 will be out for Mac, and I'm going to switch over to learning that.

If not, I'm going to get some DT training for Maya. I've done some small DT tuts in the past, and I learned a lot from them. I'm planning on learning some of the more advanced stuff (like dynamics, fur, etc.) from DT.

And here's the last screen for today, unless I get around to working on it today.

This is going well JR, you will be really glad you did this tutorial as it's really rewarding and a great confidence builder.

Yep, that's what the community says now. They say they'll announce a ZB4 release (and one for Mac, finally) at SIGGRAPH. At this point I don't want a ZB3.5, I want a ZB4. This wait is insane, and Pixologic's not even talking about ZB3 for Mac anymore.

Anyway, I'm gonna be really busy this week, then I'm going to NY this weekend, so I might not update every day. Here's the update from the last couple of days:

Thanks, Mayaniac.

I think Pixo's supposed to be showing off the new version of ZB tomrrow at SIGGRAPH… which I can't wait for. :D Anyway, here's the update for today.

Wow, has it really been that long since my last update? I've been keeping busy, and I start school next week (which I am not looking forward to at all… haha).

With Maya 2009 and ZB3.5 announced as Intel only, I guess I'm going to need to upgrade my computer sooner than I thought…

Well, ZB3 is the only software I wish was on the Mac, that isn't. If I got a new Mac, I could run Windows on it, but… well, I don't want to have to deal with all those problems. ;)

The whole "I can run windows on a mac" always makes me laugh, why if your paying for a mac, thats just running std componants in a flashy box, and then for the OS, which is supposidly much better..??? Would you WANT to install the "heathen" of windows on your new toy???

Like having a dog and barking yourself

LOL

The updates looking good, Are you going to animate this and do the full job on it?
