first walk cycle: Trying to make it look heavy and a little (but not too much) cumbersome.... He's got a little stamping action going on. I like the stamp, but the down side of that is it all gets a little snappy towards the rear. Tweaks a plenty today....

Its about 4mb, as I have included the cycle from a few different angles (3)

Next up, a few poses and runs to poses, plasma rifles blasting etc etc etc.

How do you render the model with the wireframe?

CraigC 18-08-2004 12:32 PM

www.provide3d.com

I bought their fantastic wireframe shaders.....

They do a trial for 7 days.... give it a wizz

Which plugin?

CraigC 18-08-2004 01:35 PM

depends... poly, nurbs or SubD..... that bit depends on what you wanna shade.

Looking good.

Hi there,

For such a short turn around on the animation it looks amazin..

look forward to tweaks etc.. :D

CraigC 19-08-2004 08:07 AM

OK, did a run cycle.

Straight of the bat, im not that happy with it. It may be the camera angles, and only the last one really portrays his size. Imagine he's 18 feet tall, and chasing you, and you kinda get the idea.... Or, if you looked in your rear view mirror, this is all you would see...but it feels lacking in weight still. So tweaking it today, and maybe adjusting the clips in the trax editor to shave 4-5 frames of the cycle.....

But here it is so far....

OK, heres a faster tweaked run.....

http://www.craigcrane.com/the_7/faster_run_19_08_04.mov

You have to try and image 600 of them running at you at full speed over what remains of a burnt out township....

A few tweaks to the walk and the run

CraigC 24-08-2004 04:25 AM

OK,

Last night I did a small animation, and there was something missing.... Jiggle on the cables... so added that and it makes a massive difference...

Wow, some very nice animating good job!

CraigC 24-08-2004 05:45 AM

Cheers Rubber,

Its the start of a much longer piece. I'm aiming to do 140 frames a day at this pace....

Awsome work, that must have taken ages to unwrapp. walk cycle is a bit jerky, i spose thats to be expected but would be good to be a little smoother.
top work
