I dont know what she's called but she's really cheeky and wild, and the thing she's wearing is cheetah fur.

Thanks Jango.

Kurt 30-11-2004 06:10 AM

Ok everyone!!! I choosen an entry, and let me tell you it was very hard to decide on just one with all the great entries. Each piece had something I really liked about it and I thank you all for participating.

The concept that will be in a Sm tut is the entry from "surfermcd".

The reason I decided on this character was I saw something in the first sketch, she had a lot of personality coming through which will transition into 3D well. As well as not being over the top.

I hope to have more contests like this for SM as well as 3D max once I start making tuts there, as its great to get members involved in the site as well as helping them develope their design skills.

Again a big thanks to everyone who entered, I'm very impressed with all your work.

Kurt

Kerosene 30-11-2004 09:09 AM

Well done everyone, nice stuff all round. Wudn't be surprised if some of you start turning these things into models yourselves. If you do be nice to see the WIP.

Jay 30-11-2004 11:57 AM

Hey Dudes
Well done surfer!! I did say, I liked yours and happymats, must be the vibes!!! Also though it did remind me of my girl character off my site, maybe thats why I went for it!!

surfermcd 30-11-2004 10:26 PM

Jay 30-11-2004 10:39 PM

Hey Surfer!!

Yo thanks for the advert!! I look forward to the model when its done. Who is making it? Any ideas? Is it definately Kurt?

_J

Kurt 30-11-2004 10:50 PM

surfer you want it cartoony like your picture or more realistic?

Let me know.

surfermcd 01-12-2004 12:06 AM

Duuuude! I suppose cartooney is good but if it is realistic I have no problems with that at all. If you need more reference drawings I could whip some up - Although I have no idea what her profile would look like??
Thanks Kurt

markemark 01-12-2004 11:27 AM

It would be nice to see Kurt use a cell shader on this one.

I look forward to it.

Mark :)

Just a sneak peek so far...

Jay 01-12-2004 07:41 PM

Hey Kurt

Looking good so far. Perhaps a wire? Subs or poly?

I'm looking forward to the end result as the design was very simple yet effective.

Kurt 10-12-2004 05:52 AM
