Turbines? Giving the Crime Watch Robot jet power now?

Not sure how acurate you're shooting for, but he turbine blades should probalbly be rotated (similar to fan blades).

If you want check out the interior of an engine check this out:http://www.allstar.fiu.edu/aero/turbine2.html

hey guys........i got my report card..........all A's. one C+ in Spanish, mom pissed, i wont be able to maya til the last 2 weeks of the competition, this will majorly eliminate my chances at all to be the top, oh well....HOWEVER! if i get my grades up by the interims(half way thru the quarter) then ill have 3 weeks, depends how much i study...

LauriePriest 04-04-2005 08:06 PM

damn! looking good i love the detail, those grades sound good to be honest! good work... all A and once c is good!

Funky Bunnies 05-04-2005 02:00 AM

Dang. Well good luck on getting those grades up, you're doing very well and I think you stand a good chance of winning if you continue to put in this quality and detail. Good work, and good luck.

LOL mc...

Yeah your model looks gr8. U should be allowed to stay in n00b, as u are one, regardless of how well you've done.

Get rid of history. I had the same issues in XSI history will bump up the size of your file and make it unworkable. Optimise (or Optimize for you Americans) will help clear it out. delete any un used curves, surfaces and polys too....

Funky Bunnies 08-04-2005 07:32 PM

ah, i see you got a bit of 3d-time in. :) looks great now. One thing I'd say though is that the turbine hookups are way too weak to be able to handle the power those things will likely generate. Beef them up and add some mechanical linkage to transfer power to them and that should be helpful.

Good luck, man. I hope you get your grades up and get some time to work on this soon. It's really looking great.

[edit: I would probably enlarge the turbines a bit more, and change the colors on the wires- at least on the toes, just to give it more potential depth or something.]

I can't wait to see you animate this :)
