COOL!

undseth 17-11-2002 09:45 PM

This is inspiring!
I want to make a texture-focused-project sometime soon.

Tolerate 17-11-2002 09:49 PM

i've learned quite a lot of photoshop this weekend by doing this

David 18-11-2002 02:38 AM

ragecgi 18-11-2002 04:18 AM

Yeah!!!

Tolerate 18-11-2002 09:56 AM

*ignore, I double posted by accident :) *

Tolerate 18-11-2002 09:57 AM

Thanks for the replies guys and i'm honoured you think it's gonna be worthy of the gallery, even tho my aim is to make this the best mesh this side of ILM

I've also done the texture of the other side of the bridge section but it's not really worth posting another image coz it looks so similar

chan_345 21-11-2002 09:48 AM

that has to be the most amazing thing i'v ever seen.
Great Job Man!!!!!!!

3djoe 23-11-2002 03:56 PM

That is sweet. I would love to see this in a scene!

Tolerate 26-11-2002 11:00 PM

I haven't done much on this recently, and might not be able to for a while coz I was made redundant from my job, so i'm spending most of my time looking for a job and filling out bloody nasty application forms

I did manage to do a little animation of it (well, animate the camera past it)

I'm going for a kinda episode 2 efect with the glare off the hull

Animation 200k DivX 5 required

sorry about the low quality of it, but it is just a test

dave_baer 27-11-2002 06:38 AM

Kewl. But that white is highly reflective. Should be more flat, no?

Emo 27-11-2002 07:19 AM

wow, VERY good work!!!

I got one question...how did you do the lighting?

-Emo

tariqrf 27-11-2002 06:10 PM

that is some serious modelling dude!!!! and by the ways what is this film about???? (mass production?)

Tolerate 27-11-2002 10:18 PM

Well, the glare effect was added in post-production in Shake

the film is a Star Wars fan film about a group of Jedi hunting down some left over Sith to cut a long story short

I've re-done the textures of the front cylinder coz I wasn't happy with it
I managed to nail the effect of chuncks of paint being chipped off to show the metal underneath

dave_baer 03-12-2002 05:44 PM

Looking kick ass bro. Needs more dirt and less specular though.

kbrown 05-02-2003 01:34 AM

Nice! Too much glow for my taste but nice ;)

dave_baer 05-02-2003 03:52 AM

Way to specular. Turn down the highlites on that thing. Dull it up a bit and you'll be on the right track. :)

acidoz 06-02-2003 11:23 AM

That really is quite good. [has trouble maintaining disposition]

mumbojumbo_13 06-02-2003 12:16 PM
