2nd one is better in my opinion :) :)

vim 22-12-2005 12:04 PM

2nd is most realiste, because de first is to shiny... look great

muteking1 22-12-2005 03:12 PM

i agree with the others
the second is the best

I have to agree too that the second looks more realistic :)
I do like the light colour in the first, the only thing that doesnt look realistic are the metal parts on the right - like they are too shiny or something.

nearly there and a great entry!

Thanks magicsy, vim, muteking1, and t1ck135! :)

Just what I needed.

You didn't turn off your global illumination did you? Anyway, the renders look awsome as ever. Not much at all to critique. Have any idea where your going to go with your final render?

mayafreak3 23-12-2005 12:37 AM

Thanx THX1138, Ya I turned glob illum off. I tried glob illum with photon shaders. It looked ok but I really cant get any kind of interactivity out of maya to make adjustments because the renders take so long on my computer.. even at 320x240 and if I turn on FG.. forget about it.. So I'm just going with Final Gather and a HDR image. I have one point light in the center of the room casting raytraced shadows with a quadratic falloff as well.

I will play around with some of the settings some more. I wont change anything compositionally. There are a few things I'd like to fix. Textures also, but overall I'm happy and this last one may end up being my final image.

yeah, #2 definitely is more realistic.

MattTheMan 29-12-2005 12:09 AM

Don't touch it and you have a 75%-90% chance of getting $400 in your pocket. It looks amazing. I cant imagine how long it took to render *hint* *hint* *how long did it take to render???* *hint*. lol :D Anyway, I love it :) :) Aweosme work!!!!
