still, a different render would be good to see, just so we can make out some of the objects a bit better.

Also some scenery outside the window would be good as well - at the moment the room looks like it is floating in space.

Good work though - all of the objects fit together well - even that low coffee table. ;)

MattTheMan 22-05-2006 12:34 PM

lol!

Yeah, I will be adding a background. I am rednering now an evening scene, with the light from the sun like from a sunset, to better illuminate the room. And yes, I will add an outside. Thanks arran!

now different sun angle- render for 9 hrs. Got 1550 Mutations Per Pixel in Indigo.

PP: Noise reduction in Photoshop.

Terminated early... my final will run for a full 14 hours on 2-3 machines.

C+C as always

Joopson 22-05-2006 11:15 PM

well, my last c+c stands........ but i love the render! where is indigo .5 available? and the maya plugin?

MattTheMan 22-05-2006 11:50 PM

im using 3ds Max- I will be writing the Maya plugin. :D

go to the indigo forums and look for indigo 0.5 test 3. I can send you a few scenes if you'd like to render with 0.5.3

also I am modeling lamp, vase, cords, plug and other stuff too

farbtopf 23-05-2006 12:26 AM

nice living room you have there, everything looks very soft somehow. Do you have those vhairs in your house? Are they comfy?;)

good work man

MattTheMan 23-05-2006 12:50 AM

nah, I dont have any of that ugly furniture :D it looks very un-comfortable  I dont want to model my house because of all of the super-detailed carved marble, and the super-detailed traditional furniture

farbtopf 23-05-2006 12:59 AM

yeah, they look like you would slide right off if you'd try to sit down. But it is a bit confusing since the thread say's my house. Having some traditional furniture could be interesting would be something you don't get to often in CG -probably because of too much detail work to do

anyway nice room, nice render I meant to check indigo out, but somehow I've got a feeling it's not available for mac...

MattTheMan 23-05-2006 01:02 AM

I said, in the first post that I wouldn't model my own house, but nobody reads the text :p

about Indigo- you're too right... :( oh well.

farbtopf 23-05-2006 08:58 AM

uuuups blush:blush:

A center of interest! It's ugly!!!

The green thing at the bottom left is not meant to be green, I just forgot to assign a material to it.

And- no postprocess in photoshop done (that usually blurs it). I'll give it to you straight the way Indigo made it. It made it in... oh, 13h 45m :D

bobalie 24-05-2006 02:48 AM

nice work there MatttheMan.

P.S., how is your WIP shader coming?

13th_resident 24-05-2006 07:32 AM

i wish i had chairs like that.

keep it up dude

farbtopf 24-05-2006 07:50 AM

very nice work, well done. Maybe you want to put something behind the windows so the scene looks a bit more as if it was actualy "there".

MattTheMan 24-05-2006 11:18 AM

thanks guys

@ bobalie- wip shader? if you mean my raytracer- then its done. no more working on it.

@farbtopf- that will be finishing touches in photoshop, once I can get it to render on a quad 3.8ghz computer with 16 GB ram for 20 hours :) which my dad has access to :) :) :)

I need to get a tiled hardwood texture in there.
