funny that you got my vote.

Although Arrans model is very cool and very supportive thought this comp (cheers mate), I thought yours was more original and by far the best pose.

Although for me it was a 4 man race between yours, arrans, gster123 and goksimaster sword (dude some lovely detailing there man and crazy idea)

But looks like arran got this one in the bag

well done

Weyu 06-03-2007 01:54 AM

Yeah, I would've voted for the sword if it wasnt for that I have hard to believe that the piece will come out whole from the machine. :)

What, you don't like mechs? ;)

I thought arrans model was very cool aswell, and he is extremely supportive; however, his entry was directly based from a piece that was allready figurine. My most humble apologies to you Arran, but in my opinion, I thought your entry could have benefitted from some extra creativity. Your work is still aswome, and your a very talented artist.

Right know I'm still torn between a few entries. I thought your Medusa entry tweetytunes, was awsome man, and you cranked it out pretty fast. That takes great skill. You must keep working on it

This challenge is the best I have seen in a long while.

goksimaster 06-03-2007 04:44 AM

I vote for Aran

U know I love the mechs but there was sooooooo many great entries this time around it was hard to narrow it down (I knew if I named the entries I was thinking about someone would complain :p ). Anyway thx for the kind words.

This is only my 3rd challenge so I would also say it was the best. The support everybody got was amazing this time round. Hes hoping the next will be the same.

Medusa will be on hold until I finish my Grimlock/sludge snow battle piece and I also have another project still in the wings waiting to start. She in a good place at the moment to show off, but will get back to her soon.

Weyu 06-03-2007 12:08 PM

Yey I got a vote! :)

Thanks to whoever it was. ^_^

09-03-2007 10:29 AM

i vote for goksimaster i like the style of his model:beer:

good job everyone else though i would have been murdered if i submitted one:beer:

the other main one that stood out to me though, was t1ck135's that model was amazing i loved it when i saw both goksimaster's and t1ck135 i was like:eek: and looked at each for a good 5 mins before deciding:beer:

starjsjswars 09-03-2007 02:46 PM

looks like arran has it in the bag.

d4rk3lf 09-03-2007 03:16 PM

Arran model is great, but IMHO Goksimaster is more original, so I voted for him.

Question:
Can max users enter the contest?

Psychon@ut 09-03-2007 06:07 PM

I also voted for member Goksimaster . His model looks like it was done with more passion than any other ... :D :D :D

THX1138 09-03-2007 06:42 PM

Just finnished casting my vote and finially got to see the voting results so far and wow, I'm really impressed with Goksimaster and arran. Cheers to the both of you  and cheers to all that entered the challenge. They were all great entries!

Thats good to hear! Thanks for spending that much time considering! :)

Some Guy 09-03-2007 08:27 PM

Thanks THX,
You have made me happier today (My arm is all swolen from a reaction to an injection)

It looks like there is a neck and neck race between Arran and Gokimaster at the moment.

ColdWave 10-03-2007 06:14 AM

My vote goes to R@nSiD

well done Goksimaster your really giving arren a run 4 his money

Some Guy 10-03-2007 10:50 AM

This isn't the only method of judging is it?
(He says with fingers crossed)

Some Guy 10-03-2007 10:50 AM

***EDIT***Damn double posting***EDIT ***

Weyu 10-03-2007 10:55 AM

No, McKinley holds the final call, but I guess he will follow the public. :)

THX1138 10-03-2007 12:52 PM

Yeah, he went with the popular vote on the July/august challenge, that challenge went on for like 6 months without a winner in case you didn't know. But Papalatistudios was the real winner anyway, and I'm happy for him, he really deserved it.

tweetytunes 10-03-2007 12:56 PM

yer i know micky got the last say but this was looking like a one man race 2 start with.

I do have one question though. where have all these voters been. the last 2 voted challangers where very slim on the votes. (and finnished entries)

3DHighlander 10-03-2007 01:13 PM

Hey I'm new here, and I just saw this competition. Goksimaster's model is awesome! I wish I could model that good... ;)

Weyu 10-03-2007 01:18 PM

Oooh It's a tie now :)

Between those two I must admit that I prefer the sword(I want to see how that model will come out) go Goksi! :)

tweetytunes 10-03-2007 02:16 PM

i`m feeling sorry for poor old t1ck135.

alot of work went into that model and as yet not one single vote.

sorry man.

but this tie thing is cool I did not see this coming

mtmckinley 10-03-2007 02:35 PM

This isn't the only judging, but it is factored in. Don't read too much into the winner of this little vote winning the challenge. Many times that will happen, but sometimes, it goes another way.

But wow, a tie! Cool! Who's going to be the deciding vote!? :) Might have to do a tie breaker poll!

gster123 10-03-2007 02:37 PM

Thought si's would be right up there (with mine :-p !!).

I've gone for arran, as I think it fulfills the requirements of the challenge rules, as well as being bloody good work! (and lots of it!!)

Goksimaster' s is really individual and superb on the imagination scale but I cant really see it being made into a actual model as theres lots of thin and small bits on it, that would be hard to replicate, this is no was taking anything away from the model.

Got to say this challenge has had a great number of entries, all really great! Hope the next ones the same!

Big up to Mike for keeping the echallenges going and making this a great one!

Weyu 10-03-2007 02:50 PM

Tweetytunes: Yeah but at the pictures visible in the finals thread it looks like his model would tilt over if converted to a figure(Nice work tho!). :)

Maybe comments from McKinley on all the works would make more people participate in the future competitions, for the reference when trying to get into schools or to have in portfolios. :)

goksimaster 10-03-2007 03:33 PM

hey I was thinking . If I win, you scholud sent the modell and assk the manifacture if he will be able to make it without breaking it. If he said no send arans work insted ;). I don't wanth my modell to be brouken but I whant to win the chaleg because this is my first finish one

t1ck135 10-03-2007 07:10 PM

yeah it was a good challenge and big up to mike for getting it going and offering the prize

tweetytunes - it doesnt bother me in the slightest as I didnt actually put as much time in as it should have got whereas arran and goksimaster and some of the others put in loads of time and effort and deserve the acknowledgement :)

For the public voting its great to see two models head to head at the minute!
Good luck all

Si

THX1138 11-03-2007 01:11 AM

t1ck135, I'm, I'm, I'm shocked!! I don't see how you came out with no votes. I really thought you would be up there with arran and goksimaster. The work is so good! The topology is spot on.

BBr@nka 11-03-2007 06:39 AM

I vote for goksimaster;) , man that is one realy cool model , superb:beer:

THX1138 11-03-2007 11:56 AM

Wow, 32/19. I guess the sword is mightier than the pen as far as this poll goes.
