Bathroom

I started modelling my bathroom this weekend. This is what I got so far.

Gen 19-10-2008 06:49 PM

Ohh very crispy render, me likey. Though, is it me or is the tub's legs seem a little too weak to hold up water + person (or two :x )

RockyMills_01 19-10-2008 06:51 PM

nice lighting. I think the tub is a little small in relation to the scale of the room

DJbLAZER 19-10-2008 06:54 PM

I actually measured things like a maniac and the height, width and depth of the tub is exactly right, although I didn't measure the legs, they might be a little too thin.

A little closer.

Ajmooch 20-10-2008 02:04 AM

What are those little oval thingies? Are those electrical outlet covers, or a button? I've never seen anything like them.

Your bathroom is pretty awesome though, with its super-high towel rack that could be a ladder.

DJbLAZER 20-10-2008 04:31 AM

Haha... yes, an escape ladder in case of an "emergency". The oval tings are buttons for flushing #1 or #2 :)

Some more crap modelled.

arran 20-10-2008 09:50 PM

cool - nice start mate! always good to see your stuff. :)

Rhetoric Camel 20-10-2008 11:24 PM

those buttons for flushing make me hope there's going to be a toilet in there somewhere haha. Looks good so far. Always enjoy watching your work. This is different from the electronics I usually see you do.

I've always wondered why toilets and are in a bathroom, someplace you go to keep clean and cleanse yourself of dirt and grime and grease and all that good stuff, and you go in there to sit on a toilet and stink up the place so no one else feels clean when going in there, haha.

Anyway keep up the good work.

Thanks guys!

Modelled window, radiator and crapper.

NeoStrider 21-10-2008 08:44 PM

wow i wish the amenities in my bathroom were all the same color... (hehe)

lookin pretty nice so far, but what's the deal with the folding rack in the shower? sweater rack? too high for a seat. too low to be something for overhead. can't be a towel rack unless you want wet towels... *shrug*

DJbLAZER 22-10-2008 02:13 AM

Well, it's a small bathroom... it's for hanging clothes to dry. If you want to dry your clothes it's best not to take a shower meanwhile though...

gster123 22-10-2008 02:52 AM

Nice moelding as per usual Dj!

Crapper, I remember my dissapointment when I found out that Thomas Crapper didnt invent the bog.

DJbLAZER 22-10-2008 03:44 AM

Hehe, read about Mr. Crapper on Wikipedia... man, that's so awesome to have that name and having a plumbing company.

The first paragraph in the article on Wikipedia is hilarious...about Thomas CRAPPER who invented the BALLCOCK and about MANHOLE's as tourist attractions..

Some work on the faucet, sink and plumbing. Not complete and also needs some tweaking.

younglion 25-10-2008 08:44 AM

thats good work

Gen 26-10-2008 06:58 AM

Indeed. Are you going to use clean textures or are you going to dirty things up a bit?

That could be a dig at DJ's hygene!! Joking!

Gen 26-10-2008 09:38 AM

LOL I saw that coming.

DJbLAZER 26-10-2008 11:28 AM

Haha... I'll start with a clean version, and maybe I'll do an extremely nasty version after that, will probably be fun :attn:

I started UV-mapping and trying out some materials. I'll probably layout UV's for everything since I don't want 100% clean objects. The chrome material is a bit too much though.

Another one

Rhetoric Camel 29-10-2008 06:58 AM

the little bit of texturing you've done looks good so far. You using maxwell for these? If so how long are you letting these render? You knew these questions were coming. haha

banksta 29-10-2008 10:22 AM

I like how you use a solid color to show detail without texturing. I am thinking about doing that.

DJbLAZER 29-10-2008 02:29 PM

@camel, Yeah Maxwell. These took about 20-30 minutes.

29-10-2008 02:53 PM

thats some amazing work dude, keep at it:beer:

lealar 29-10-2008 10:18 PM

That's really good work and like much more, but I just wondering about lights. How to make the lights? We can't make openning room I mean the canopy. Can you show us lights?

Sorry bad English

I have removed some wall and have no ceiling, so the light isn't what it's like in real life.

Maybe I'll do some real light setup when I'm done , although you can't get a nice overview of the whole room since it's so small, and the camera has to fit aswell.

zico_samagoria 29-10-2008 11:11 PM

you are genius ;)

Are those maxwell materials or maya materials?

Gen 31-10-2008 02:15 PM

Very nice! I'm loving the tiles. I see you made it super clean haha

Camel: It's Maxwell materials.

GecT: Not suuuuper clean.. but clean... but as I said before I'm going to mess it up bad when I'm done.

I found a bug in the tile material and also did some more on the tub plumbing.
