Loving the facial expression! Cool looking villain so far Speedy!

Looking good! I liked his belly in the sketch... are you going to make him a fat lazy bastard in 3D as well?
also looking forward to the sweat and steams. Benny |
Looks great speedy would be awsome to see some wires of it too!
Keep it up T |

Ill have some wires for it all soon Big T.
Benny - I still want him to have the plump belly but I was thinking of a different idea for the final pose. Instead of the original concept, I'm going to have him sitting in his throne with fire in the background. (see attachment) Thanks for the comments :) |
Nice sketch! The throne looks like something fun to model/texture... and you have fire there so you can still play around with 3D fluids and stuff for smoke.
Good luck! Looking forward to some progress :) Benny |
Love the new pose its much more villainous (is that even a word?). Look forward to seeing final piece and wires :)

villainous
One entry found. Main Entry: vilĀ·lainĀ·ous Listen to the pronunciation of villainous Pronunciation: \-lə-nəs\ Function: adjective Date: 14th century 1 a: befitting a villain (as in evil or depraved character) <a villainous attack> b: being or having the character of a villain : depraved <the villainous foe> ;) Looks great! I like the 2d concept art a lot. That's something I'd like to get better at myself. |
stwert : A yes would have been enough hahaha

Thanks for the comments benny, bigTommyB and Stwert. Much appreciated.
Benny: Yeah I'm planning on starting the throne this afternoon. Should be fun. :) Fire will be a challenge, Never done anything like that before so cant wait to try that out. Bigtommyb: Thanks, Next post will definitely be showing some wires too. |

DAMN not long left now. Sorry for lack of updates lately. Here is the Chair I made for him.
|
i wish i could get a chance to get started on mine!
that chair is looking sweet are those bevels happening at rendertime or are they there in the model just not easily visible? |

Hi Chirone, Thanks.
The bevels are in the model, the images i posted were screengrabs and not even rendered. here is my model with wires and Skeleton ready to be posed. |
I would give the limbs and tail a slight bend , because joints can react strange when their straight(IK handles)
Looks great though |

Well i had to rush on Saturday to get him in his pose and setup the scene. I would of liked to of worked more on textures, especially for the background and the model but seeing as texturing wasn't a immediate requirement I left it out. Here are a few Render Tests.
