Managed to get a little piece done. Section between the wing root and the cowling. The top curve is where the wing root fits in and the bottom curve is where the wheel fits in.

Wow mate you are putting me to shame...apart from the fact I havent had time to scratch my butt lately. Nice work man...with your top image I would brighten the background a little as the plane and stage are almost the same shade. More like the last one...nice shade and it really shows off the detail.

cheers bullet

Thanks bullet. I am still battling to get the ground and "sky" plane at the correct heights. If I move the ground plane down, it becomes brighter but then I loose the shadow effect under the model. If I move the top plane up, then the overall brightness increases but then the model becomes washed out. Can you help out here?

I model in real life dimensions. Dimensions are roughly 11500 (W) x 8000 (L) x 3000 (H).

A dome light would be better??? thats one I have used before...have you tried that instead of AO? I dont know if a dome would work in AO??? try it out...I will try later...Im trying to sort a 40k f***up on a design plan at the mo...LOL and they are blaming me...tossers. Will look at it in a couple of hours unless you have solved it. I assume your dimensions are in metres man?

cheers bullet

I would guess mm because 11500m fw-190 would be heavy! :playfull:

11500mm ~ 35ft

PixalZA 15-11-2011 08:18 AM

thanks bullet. i'll give the dome a bash.
ctbram, extremely heavy indeed :D yep, it's mm.
