Sweet work! The back seat hole looks a bit pinched in some places and too smooth in other places. That's all my crits.

LOL looks sweet mate.....on with it..dont give up!

joverall22 14-03-2012 04:24 PM

Thanks for the comments. Lol 15lb boxing gloves that sums it up about right.

@Stwert Thanks for pointing that out I've yet to really work on the backseat I'm not sure what I should put in it. Any ideas? I believe I am going to have the pig in the front seat flying but I might be changing the design of the pig go for less man pig and more pig pig anyways we will see.

Thanks again.

You could make it like a mother-in-law seat and have it folded down

Here is another image I decide to go ahead with the Mother-in-law's seat for the back of the boat I like how it turned out. I also added a door to get in the back as I am sure any elderly mother-in-law would not appreciate having to jump over the edge. ;)

Now just on to model some luggage and then I guess I can't put off texturing any longer. Please let me know if anyone sees anything out of place.

Thanks

here are two more shots close ups on the headlights. I have recently discovered that finding the perfect shot to show off your detailing as well as the overall picture can be infuriating

Still impressed, I am.
Really nice details

Have to say that's looking sweet.

joverall22 24-03-2012 05:22 PM

Well as I have thought texturing is a beast but I think I am starting to get a hang of it. I have a question about BumpMaps however.

Is there a value in maya that you can adjust to decrease the influence of a bumpmap? Right now I keep going back and forth between photoshop and renders trying to figure out the perfect shades of gray, which of course is very annoying. Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

If you click in the arrow by your Bump Mapping channel, you will get taken to your file node, then click on the forward arrow beside the file textbox, then you will get taken to your bump2d node. There you can adjust the Bump Depth. (You can also access the node in the hypershade, but this is fast, although there's probably a faster way).

I often end up using something like 0.2 for the bump depth otherwise it's so extreme, but of course it all depends on your project.

Folding Wings ???

1 Attachment(s)
Okay :help:

I got a question for the forum does anyone know the best way to animate these wings so they can fold together and tuck up underneath the chassis of the car? The metal rods need to maintain their shape while the cloth can go slack as the wings fold. Also the helicopter blades are going to fold down and then the rod will fold into the grove I think I can handle that much but the rest seems to be beyond my current skill set. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Chirone 28-03-2012 10:20 PM

if you can find what the folded position is that you want then you could probably do a blend shape with the wings.

joverall22 03-04-2012 11:29 PM

Well the deadline is coming up soon I've gotten pretty busy with other projects but I guess I better get back to this and tie it up.

How is everyone else's coming along? Any updates?
