2 parts already done.... so stay tuned mayans

Kevin 21-04-2003 08:54 PM

oh also the divx output will be VERY high and the quality is awesome!!

wchamlet 21-04-2003 08:59 PM

I've had bad dealings with divx in the past. Are you sure this is 100% viewable on a Mac? I'd much rather see a true mpeg4 file rather than divx, but I guess it's totally your call.

Kevin 21-04-2003 09:02 PM

as long as you have the correct codecs (which will be available on the disk) then you will have no probs at all, in any case there will be a 5 min test - preview for you all to download and try yourselfs before commiting any thing

DiVX 5 is fully MPEG 4 iSO compliant so you should have no problems.

David :)

no mate ...the quality of the divx on this is top quality...

The download would be enormous, this is also one of the reasons why it is going onto disk...so people have the choice of a really high quality cd from the shop.

Cyrius 22-04-2003 12:40 PM

u put in on a simple "cd" or on a dvd ?? i say that because i prefer cd (i haven t any dvd player on my mac :-( )

Kevin 22-04-2003 01:02 PM

yes mate a simple cd encoded with divx :)

if it goes well then we will also convert to dvd...

but im like you mate, I would rather have it on divx and watch along on my pc as I do the tutorial... dvd players on pc just dont get along with me :)

ragecgi 22-04-2003 02:34 PM

I know I'm a mod, but in 3 weeks, when I get paid, I'M BUYING IT!!!!!!!

hehe....

Seriously!

BTW, how much? or is that TBA? Just wondering:)
Just so I know how much I gotta put aside...

Kevin 22-04-2003 02:51 PM

ragecgi 22-04-2003 05:45 PM

No sorry starup, the shop merchandise will be totally seperate from the points system so the points will not be able to be used.

Hi Kevin,

oki doki... that's a shame... :)

eh... would it then maybe be possible to have/create some kind of SimplyMaya/Simply3D Bank account...

why I'm asking is because finances varies alot... and then it would be nice to have some money to use whenever you want to use them on SimplyMaya...

e.g. one month maybe 10 dollars in spare, another month e.g. 30 dollars... one month e.g. only 3 dollars, which if they stay on a regular bank account would be spent on something else... but when put on a SimplyMaya/Simply3D bank account only can be used there whenever you want to... and then it would also give yield to the site... since it has been dragged from a regular bank account into the site's account (e.g. your pocket)... so you have allready got the money... and I or anyone else with a SimplyMaya/Simply3D account can then spent the money whenever I/they want to... and have got enough to buy it...

I don't know if this could be an idea... or if it would cause to much trouble to implement or maintain... :)

regards

Strarup
