Alright, so you are the winners from round 1, heres the rules.. 1 week from today (ends wednesday next week). Model accessories for your critter, including weapons, armor gear etc. This tournament chart will be updated whever there is new images posted to keep you informed on how everyone is doing. Have fun :D.

Lets go pony! Heheheh.. time to model to the death (crap, im going to die). Lol, cant wait to see these accessories.

Man, I wish i had a wacom right now..so that i could make a render and draw out ontop of it what i plan to do :(. Time to print and take out the marker, then scan. Erg, i may just do a image with a pencil and paper :).

Sharpen your pencil M! you'll need it.. LOL (JK).. I'd like to see the armer soon.

and props.. I don't think that yello shader makes it look like plastic !! ever tryed to model a rubber ducky ?? plastic is not eazy anyway..

I gess I will draw some things for her now.. bow and arows. maybe a necklass. Ribbens and perls LOL

LOL, i take it you have tried pony? Heheh.. just wanted to say that i have went through so many things.. i DID get the gloves that he will have modelled though. I think hes just going to have attatchments all over the body, not creating one big suit. Cant wait to see what your going to do! you know what i need.. a damn eraser! I lost mine! Jeeze.. its a crisis over here!

OH crap !! its late there or I would tell you to go get one !! An eraser is inportant ! Not that I'm this good.. but I think even great artists still need one.. kinda like emotional suport !! IF I messed up its always there..

I know what you say pony.. thats why theres probably another one in the other room ;).. just im doing sketches for now.. i dont care if i screw up as im just messin around seeing what i can do. I am starting to get very cool visions of this guy, makes me excited to start modelling! lol, hes going to look so much different!

Thanks twisted. The bow I just drew up. Yep arrows will be made for it. I hope they will be.

I don't know about cloths. There could be but I'm going to do some leather at least.

NNOOOOO not me.. you will not find me covering naughty parts. I think its tacky to cover up something so beautiful as the female form !! even if it has hoofs !

I am so looking forward to this round. The critters are so different in genre. A great stage for really having to judge the "artist" and what he can do.

looks great pony. Yah i'd check out some games for inspiration on the specialistic arrows. Turok 1(n64 i think) and 2(x-box). Might be hard to find pics of the arrows tho. I just know that turok has some cool ones. And yes they're 3d.

Well, i tried to model my design and its a bit sketchy... i think im going to go for a set of costumes :). I will have ninja dino,thug dino, and gladiator dino :D... i hope :). Also im planning on unwrappin the uv's on this guy if i get the time.. and then i will make some kewl textures (hopefully). Cya around

Well, i made a stone version of my dino :D.. now i put it into a composition :D.. tell me what you think :). I need to model something more realistic to do that with though :P. And the eye could of been the same color as the skin to make it look more like a statue or something. Ok, i will be starting on accessories today :).. i have actually been trying for a few hours in the past 2 days.. just i cannot make anything that "fits".. i will come through though :).

Just having fun, modelled some crazy stupid weapon for him with cheezy golden textures. Anyways, thats definately not suiting him! Time to take that away, bring back the other look and go for something else.

what about some armour? maybe roman style quite chunky, lots of rivets and stuff?

Yellow shader definatley needs work but i think that yellow does work as a colour for him, what about looking at kurts model to get inspiration for the texture?

Thanks alan :D. I also agree that the yellow texture needs more of a nice look to it. To acheive this i will have to unwrap the uv's.. which is my next step. I was talking to pony on icq and then this came up, i just had to do it :). About your chunky armor style idea?? I LOVE IT.. i will give him a full plate :D. That was one of my original things i thought of before i even started the model, yet it totally left my mind by the time i started modelling... thanks!

BTW, its hard to make him look stressed :(. i need to re rig him probably and add some more bones at the eyebrows.

actually it looks cool with the gun aswell... but to me the medieval / roman look sounds better.

You could procedurally texture the guy? then you wouldnt have to unwrap him... mite save some time

It was a inside joke pure, with me and pony... i also prefrer medeival! But, just so you all know, i DID NOT in any way intend to incorperate this gun with the dino.. as i realise that the gun was not modelled during this challenge. Just making sure none of you mix that up.

The centaur gets a shot off first with her bow.. the arrow hits the little red button !!! BOOM gose the digi !!

Hahhaa. WE can do the original plan..... Dino goes crazy with the gun and shoots at the centuar but misses every shot.. then the centuar nails the dino in the ass with a arrow and the dino goes hoppin off. Haha

This is a bad image guys, seeing theres not many good hardcore fullplate armors pictures out there (or what i know of and suits my taste). I was lookin for something that looked bulk and strong... i found this. Its not really good, just you get the general idea :).

Hey m, i was reading pony's Round1 thread and he mentioned something about putting the two models together for a render. Maybe i could send you the critter (he has a basic skeleton) and you could do his face so you could make him look all scared with a ZF1 in his face. Or maybe the dino is just standing on him with one foot or something. Either way it would be amusing. You want the .MB?

Also M is there a reason why there is no contrast on the the pic in the Tourny Image? It looks like crap. Not that it matters, just wondering if you were trying to SABOTAGE ME!?!?! jk lol

Haha, thanks vector.. but the mb is not needed atm. What i was thinking instead is that we figure out what poses we want on a storyboard.. and then we all do each seperate pose and render it out and save as a targa (no background). Then you can send the images to me and i can compose the scenes in photoshop. Thanks anyways :). Just letting you know though, once you make a basic skeleton, you have the start of him made.... then you have to do the rest, which includes paint weights and blinn shapes. If you ever subscribe vectorman, i highly suggest the character rigging set :D. Ok, im going to start workin on my actual characters accessoriesm, and until im out of this tournament, im not going to spend my time making funny images anymore :p. Cya later.

What kind of armor are you looking for. I know several types and i could prolly get you a good pic of each. you looking for roman, greek, futuristic, chinese?

Hey twisted, if you could get me a large image of roman armor probably (ones with lots of plates, and quite bulky).. i would love that! I am already on my way to getting the shoulderpads done, now i just need to learn how to make a circle duplicate along a line :). Thanks eagleking.. if you were talking about my model that is :P. I did spend some time on those renders to give them that toyish look.. it definately isnt too realistic though, as i would need shadows and proper lighting :P

Who's going to do the wall with the bullet holes.. and maybe some shrapnal from them ?? smoke trailes for the bullets ? I can do that part maybe if wanted..

There is no rush though, def get in all the work on little digi you want for the contest hear..

BTW I think the images should just be posted hear befor composited. I think it would be nice for people to see them if they wander about them being made.

looks nice M. I tried to find a nice size image of some armor but i coudlnt find exactly what you were looking for.. i suggest searching www.budkww.com under decoration to get some ideas.

M, maybe you should have done a nice old style saiya-jin armor:). i get dozens of pics of that. lol. it would look cuter on him too.
