stage scene..rigging etc
 

not sure what im doing with this but thought it would be a good learning experience for me to model..

im going to put lights etc .. (hopefulyl make a short vid with some kewl lighitng effects moving etc..maybe some pyrotechnics..

dunno yet..might even render a drumkit also :)

Nice start. You can give the stage a little more flavor by putting it into different levels like steps.

did a few gigs over the weekend..just got back into it..

started the lighting...not too concerned about getting em exact theyll be pretty small when they go into the scene anyways

added some foldbacks and set some lights up.


wil be re-directing the ligghts to just in front of the foldbacks not towards the back as they currently are.

The stage seems kinda small, or maybe the scaffolding is just thicker than I would imagine? I dunno, though, I've not been to many concerts.

yeah i was looking at that too..i think ill just end up making the stage bigger

more...still havent sorted sizes etc...

did the stage layer thing as suggested for the drummer

ok started on the kit

the behind shot does nothign for the model at this stage but eh..

finished with the kitt as far as i am concerned./..i didnt make a kick pedal or hi hat pedal but i wont be using them in the scene......

and if i decide to later i can model them then...so heres the kit...

doesn't have to be a great detailed kit..more for backgorund effect..

UPDATE

Vector is a drummer and guitarist so i'll be watching you're equipment. The Kit is fine for bg use. But if you wanted a tad more:
()You might want some wingnuts on either end of each "rib" of the bass drum
()The cymbal has a ball-ish indent in the center, not like a point.(see pic)
()A small felt cilinder, and a washer on top of the cymbals is a nice touch.(see pic)

If you show me the guitar amp, i'll go off on that one too.

i didnt even put the legs for the bass drum either side..

im a bassist / drumemr too but i thought for big use its no point no ones gunna know :)

so shhh dont tell...

no prob, i figure you'd say that, i'd still adjust the cymbals though. Did ya revolve them? If you did, and still have the curve then it would be easy to insert a few knots and change the curves.

Looks nice Vamp. But after I look at it for awhile, its got me wondering. Can 3 people (2 guitarists, and a singer) fit in that area? The area seems......squished. Maybe make it wider? Maybe its me, but do the speakers in the front look abit...wierd?

as in modeled or wierd to be in front of the kitt?

the stage does seem kinda small.... maybe just scaling it a bit to give them a bit more room to rock! :headbang: even if you just scale the bottom of the stage that mite work.

I think you really should add the legs to the kick drum. maybe that's just cause i've seen loads of drum sets when I was in bands. Just looks a little odd.

Looking good though. Are you gonna model "the band" as well?

got he bass guitar in there too now...scenes starting to slow down a tad :)

still havent changes stage size etc yet

what about a stomp box rack? and loads of wiring etc? and of course the obligatory water botles and towels for the band! ;)

lol greeat ideas pure! Some other things you could add would be a few cabinets for those guitar amps, that would look alot more Rock and Roll. Definately tons of wires everywhere would look alot more like a real stage too. Keep going man!
