Sorry late post but I have been away all day but made a nit of a start.

not much done but i only got up. I'll probably spend most of the day on this so should have some progress soon.

added a glass and a microphone.

M i know that details need to be added but i'm trying to get the general look done and then if i have time do the details and the textures.

Good start, you might try rendering against a lighter background to make your images easier to see.

my model is not going as good as i would have liked. it's still a start though so here's what i got.

added a keyboard. and that's it. i've ditched the speakers for now because i didn't like how they were turning out. going to start on the now.

where is traveler?:confused:

Good start. The keyboard base could perhaps be a little wider as the keys look as if they are protruding from the edge. But it is progressng nicely, keep at it!

thx for the crits witchy. i'm making a hand rest for the keyboard as well so it won't look as thin.

made an adjustment to the keyboard and started on the mouse.

woooh.. not much done today at all but here's a bit of an update. I'm a bit worried that traveler is not posting cuz i'd like to see what im up against. Maybe he's doing something spectacular that i'm not aware of.:)

anyway here's my plan.
1. Finish the rough models of the parts.
Need to do the monitor, speakers, pc box and little things like pens and pencils.

2. Finish the rough models and start detailing.

3. If time permits textures. I know the textures aren't compulsory but i'm going to try to make them anyway. Bad thing is that i got end of unit exam (really important one) in the end of the week so might not have time to texture. But im gonna do my best.

Well i'm off for tonight to study but i promise more tomorrow. Much more than today.

It's looking good. What I wonder is how your monitor manages to stand still with that "foot"..

It's a pity traveler hasn't posted anything yet, though.

stedo: i agree with you on the foot. I have probably made it a bit too small but the real monitor is kind of unbalanced as well. what i mean is it stands up and all but it's best not to shake the table or anything like that. apart from that it's a great monitor.

again just got home and will have some pics soon.

(alex is gone off in a sulk because traveler is not replying and neither is anyone else lol)

Hey aldudeau, what time is it in down under? Well, not the topic, but i liked your country, went there for student-exchange.

It's 6:30 pm right now. This is a great country.

Well i have to go soon and as i understand tomorrow is the last day to work on it. I'm home all day tomorrow so should add some details and adjustments but generally this scene is done (modelling wise).

What do you think?

p.s you might think that there are no drives on my pc but actually there are. i just have a case that has sort of flaps to shut the drives so that they don'w get damaged and so on.

just messing around before i go on the monitor. some very basic textures.

i smooothed the monitor too

looking really nice so far guys! One thing to ald though, you should probably do what witchy said though and extrude that edge on the left of the keyboard a bit more, i have never seen a keyboard when the keys run off the side. other than that, looking great!

Eh, I must have missed this thread by mistake, you have been making great progress. Do you have some sort of reference picture so we can compare?

sorry no ref pics.....i'm too poor to afford a camera. I must say though that it looks pretty close to the real thing.

not much just playing around. gotta do the speakers and then off to texturing.

Cool. I like the LCD, but what happened to the computercase? The CD looks like its a bit thick, but all in all a good job!

Great job man, i can see ur improvement, especially on that keyboard, looks much better.

fredriksson: Doh me! How could i have been so stupid. the truth is i just forgot. i did the render just before leaving for school sorushed it.

i reckon the render is the best i've ever done though.
