Im using autodesk maya 2008 and after im using smoothbind to an object and i select the vertex i cant see the influence of the joints on it in the smooth skins tab . any1 knows why ?

When ever i load a 32bits targa texture file that contains alpha Map in it, into an object the whole object become transparent in the viewports but when i render it it looks fine , any idea why?

it doesnt matter if u use nurbs or polys
u can get the same amount of details for both
and if u use nurbs u can always convert it into polys

i usually did not used auto mapping for cylinders objects .
i had some problem with the arm and the auto map
but i was able to fix that arm in dffrent mapping but the leg went just fint...

but also keep in mind that u cant get a perfect smooth uvmap
dont move every UV point that are inside the shell , work only at the areas...
