Hi there new to Maya. My mesh, and edit mesh menu has disappeared. I know I can get it back up but where do I go to customize the menu layout. Thanks

now im haing problems converting subdiv to polygons, everytime i try doing this it comes up with //Error: Select a subdivision surface which you want to tessellate. i select it and it wont work

does anyone know where planar mapping is on maya 8.5?
Cant seem to find anywhere as im new to maya, please help.
