you're going to be the lead modeller of your dev team and you dont know how to model..... emmm why do you have it all planned out so much? there's more to maya than modelling. with 3 years experience you will be more than competent in maya, possibly modelling too. dont pressure yourself too much just enjoy learning the program!!
