thanks for the advice I rushed ahead of myself and got to excited and kinda messed it up, I decided to restart and have proper referances. I found a top view and also spent about 15 mins in photoshop setting them up instead of trying to make them "close enough" in maya. It's come a long way since this last attempt. will have a quick render soon.
