yes the main light isi way too strong. i notice when using FG in maya, hard edges or edges that have sharp corners always look "iffy" if you know what i mean. you can find a work around for that. maybe you should use a 3point light set up (i don't mean 3 point lights in maya...it could be any type of lights. this is a great composition. i really like it. but it's too yellow-ish...imho
and the floor has no bump or it's too low. comparing it to the nice texturing job you did with the wall. and maybe remove the lamp post, or bring it closer to the camera to make it look bigger. just my 2 cents. user added image
