I second that. :p It's a laser mouse, and unlike other mice which only have their own DPI (dots-per-inch, the way mice read surface-difference/distance), the G5 can change between 400 DPI (ye olde Trackball mice), 800 DPI (optic mice; typical), or even 2,000 DPI (laser-mouse). I cannot stand how ultra-smooth the 2k DPI setting is, so I keep it on the 800/optical DPI setting at all times. Even if you need percision when painting detailed textures, for example, you can set it down to the 400/trackball DPI setting. That aside, it has a cartridge you can insert into the bottom of it, in which you can place up to 7 weights, to...well...weigh down the mouse.
