My bet right now is on Maya Savvy. Based on the 2 previous versions of the books, the Maya Fundamentals book is good for getting started and covering a little bit about most features in Maya, but the Mastering Maya series is great for in-depth coverage on just about everything. There's a good reason the Maya Savvy book is going to be over 800 pages long. Maya Savvy is probably going to be a better buy for intermediate level users.
