Hello, I have the same problem (jeah next mc rig...). I use maya 2011 student version. When I apply texture (without alpha channel) thre occure some missing pixels. I tried default setting, some scenes, turing lights etc and it still doesn't work. OFC with viewport 2 everything looks good but problems come up after render.
