Bump/Diffuse/Specularity maps.

Hi, i modeled a native american face and i put a color map. i just unwrapped the UV's then colored it in photoshop.

Now im trying to make bump/diffuse/specularity maps. But im not sure how it works.

1) When i make a bump/diffuse/specularity maps.. do i make a new Blinn and do it there? or do i just make those in the same Blinn as where color map is in??

if i should make it in the same "Blinn2", should have do the "hypershade - workarea" thingie.. where people put those arrows? (ex. file2 -> blinn2).

im not sure how to put arrow between bumpmap file to the blinn2.

2) tried different things, and bump map is incorporated. But, i made really light grey dots to give him some face pores but.. hell, they looked like he was eaten by bugs. Extreme HOLES in his face... is there a slider of some sort? that i can adjust the bumpiness? or do i just need to make the darks.. even lighter in photoshop?

3) In renderview, i see the bumps... is it normal not to see them in the Maya perspective view?

4) How do i fuss around with the background color for the rendered image? his black part of face.. can't be seen well.
