Dave, I have never enjoyed doing something that was white. Seems that it never renders quite right, at least for me. I am using a falloff, I believe that is the same as a ramp in Mental Ray, and have it with a white and an off white. But it does not seem to be effective. If I try and change it too much I start to get tinting. I will work some more on that. I will need to use the color sampler, as shades of color is what I don't see.
