well y not,
dunno what other progs there is at uni to track with
dunno what other progs there r for it
i know live can do 3d tracking i think so it can do zooms ect
just made sense to track in maya, click solve and it applies the animation to the camera instantly

will have a look into other progs, any u recommend?
