ok, just to make something clear. i am of course not ready with modeling. and tahnks for the suggestions, appreciate them. i will make the beak differant and the duckie will get wings and feet and eyes (not furry).

and yes undseth, that is fur. started with a new fur (not a preset of course, i wanted to understand what i do) and goofed a bit around with the sliders til i undestood what they do - i suggest this to everybody: dont read a manual, do with trial and error. and i do know now that it is not necessary to model real good if you put fur over it - good i played with fur before spending too much time to model the duckie below the fur

i did not even start thinking on how to texture the places where no fur is. and to be honest i was a bit shocked that fur looks that good - if you ever tried out a ready fur from maya you know what i am talking about as it never looks good unless you tweak it.
