well i tried creating a ramp for the faces of the polygon that i chose and tried to animate this via keyframes but this didnt work either. How do you animate textures? lambert->color->ramp.. then what? simply creating a ramp then assigned a color scheme to it and assigned a different color for a different timeframe does not work either. the first option is definitely more doable(so would seem)... thanks Xander and if you can think of anything else i would appreciate it or anyone else that wants to chime in..
