Regarding the TX, I really didn't like the design. The classic endo is so much cooler IMO.
I have to agree I like the T101 but really wanted a female so settled for the TX.
amoeba the metal shader is just a really basic chrome shader but i spent a little while tweeking it in the attribute editor.
Heres the latest with the head almost complete.
