Default Alien Holo Gate (...whatever...)

Hi there!


I just more or less finished a scene I did primarily for practice reasons - or maybe just because I wanted to do it anyway.

I would love to get some crits from you.

This is actually not the whole clip, just an excerpt, but the essential stuff is there. Not much really, but it was fun to do.

Glad to hear about the file size.

The frames were rendered out from Maya and put together in Combustion (DOF, MotionBlur, CC).

A good deal of light linking was involved to get the illumination right. I also used a light rig that only casts shadows but doesn't illuminate. And last not least, I learned the hard way what the Dmap Auto Focus setting is for.
