Sometimes I forget how helpful this place is. Just a reminder how AWESOME Simply Maya is. Thank you mastone. I have to admit that when I started, I figured "I'll do something simple to start with...how bout a walk cycle"..rofl. Just my luck to end up picking one of the hardest things to do. It's a TON harder than I had expected. I thought, how hard can it be, move the guy, create some keys, move him again, create some more keys..BAM...done. I've never been more wrong in my life hahahaha. But it's nice to work on something that I don't have to worry about overloading my computer.

I totally have a new appreciation for all the animators out there..hats off to you for sure.

Hi aruna,

I see perfecto has already answered your questions so i dont have anyhing else to say.
But would like to know whether you are learning maya by yourself or are you learning from an institute.

Maya is a vast software and involves many modules like modelling, texturing/lighting, dynamics, rigging, animation etc. Normally in a institute they will teach you all this in brief and then you can decide on specializing any one of it depending on your interest.
