Default rendering prob

Greetings guy im facing a problem when i rendering the model
it keeps lagging for a long time
pls guide me

That's not a lot of info to go on. Post screenshots of your render settings.

im soli i gv less info
i am new maya user
i am using maya 2011 32bit my comp spec is i5, 4gb ram
after i done modeling and set uv for car
the next step i want put texture on car
the moment i put diffuse map on car.. duno somehere it lagging til need to restart the maya
my rendering setting is in mental ray mode 720hd the rest is default setting.

That's still very broad. Did you try a different file type or resolution for the texture?

i try open my previous model fatbot(2mb) in maya which is the file is a lot of bigger than this car(786kb) model.In fatbot model it can render completely without delaying alot of time the most 3 mins taken for rendering per image but the car is totally opposite it still in texture testing progress it lagging like the time freeze doesnt move at all pls help me guys........ thank in billion

hi honestdom i am using 2 large res texture but my robot using 3 large res

can you convert them to jpeg and make them half the size? Do this and try to render again.
