Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

tweety toy

Here's a quick model I did of a tweety toy for my puppy project. I have no idea how to do plush so I just added the fuzz.

I'm working on the rig. I'm not sure if i'm going to give him life or just make him a rag doll when the puppy chews on him.

and abused!

I would make the grime not so even over the character. Have patchy parts.

What's up with the side of his belly? it looks like it's been crushed in?

There appears to be some weird stuff going on inbetween his toes too.

The whole broken eye thing doesnt really work too well IMHO. I would rather you had the two eyes i but just make them look worn rather than having one broken

It's funny because on the real doll, the eye was smashed up like that hanging by a thread. Anyway here's tweety again with both eyes intact but scruffed up.

I think I'll leave the grime the way it is for now...It kinda looks gross with patches....

I've been working on the lighting. maybe late afternoon, california? I gotta think of some furniture and plants to put in this room before I start animating.
