Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Colosseum

Here is something I decided to do. started from scratch in Maya. The hardest part as far is getting good ref pics of the Colosseum. I have a few the I have been using. Here is some progress pics. Alot of detail still to be added

Here is a screen crab of what I got for now. I am starting to add all the small details. The colums on each level actually have a different design so I must change that. after the outside is done I will move to the inside. I must whatch gladiator tonight and get alot of screen grabs from it.

My system will handle it but for interactivity I have to hide alot of the stuff.

Great stuff! Keep it up!
Could you describe how did you make one of the levels? By duplicateing?

just a simple duplication using the initial parts from the original post. well alot off guess work to get the part rotating and dublicating correctly. There is 76 arches or doors in the colosseum to represent the real one. At the moment it is round but the colosseum is oval in shape, so I must fix this later on.
