This is not the end of the world, but, would be nice if it works...

I have Final Fantasy 7 and I have opened the .LGP file and accessed the 11000+ models from the game, can Maya open any format in this list:

Helion (.3df)

3D Studio (.3DS)

3D Studio ascii (.ASC)

Jawed K (.JAW)

Lightwave (.LWO)

Quake 3 models (.MD3)

unknown mon (.MON)

Milkshape binary & text (.MS3D,.TXT)

Wavefront (.OBJ)

Off, oogl (.OFF)

FF7 p model (.P)

Raw 3d (.RAW)

Turbo Silver (.IOB)

Warcraft 3 3d model (.MDX)

Final Fantasy 7 field models (.HRC)

Direct X ascii (.X)

Truespace (.COB)

Virtua Fighter 1 (.BIN)

Oni model (.M3GM)

Oni character (.ONCC)

Viper racing model (.MOD)

Rhinoceros (.3DM)

(this is the list that I can save the files as)

if yes, where can I get the plug-in? importer etc? or converter? ((should I install 3ds max 6.0 again?))

You'll probably have better luck with the .obj files. At least that's been my experience.
