Tree Frog Extrude Prob

Hi all and Kurt ( good tut BTW, thanks)

I'm Having a problem with the extrude edge tool on the eye part,

Could you please give me some feedback Took some screen shots for you to see what Maya v6.0.1 comes up with.

I'll mess around with a few tips I found on Google, see if they help.

Hi.. looks like the problem is either

1) The vertices on the very end of the eye area are not merged giving you that look. Or if its a sub-d try hitting 3.

2) If your not using sub-ds just poly you can add a extra edge line that is very close to the end of the eye and that should fix the problem once you poly smooth. adding edges close together will help smooth out areas and give you a more defined sharp edge.

Hi Kurt thanks for your reply.

I did solve the prob, it was that I needed to turn on keep faces together in the Poly Menu.

The Eye is now working looking a lot better as you say.

After a few days of hacking at this frog I'm almost there for the modeling --
