building textures

What is the best way to go about texturing a building? I mean like should I just find some window textures and make those. Lol I just don't know how to start.

Google!

Depends on the quality of the render that you need, but there are plenty of images for textures available of the net - just do a google search. Many of them are free - some, the more professional high res ones, are not.

Highen3d.com has shaders you might want to look at.

Otherwise, if you have a digital camera, just click away...
