Making circle extrudes

i normally use booleans and doo this... but is there a way to extrude circle "faces" or any other thing...

Not sure what you are trying to do, but if you've got a polygonal circle, just select the face and choose the extrude face tool. But somehow I don't think that's really what you are asking.user added image

no thats not what i mean.

i mean can i extrude a circle "face" on a cube???

for example

for example i have a cube primitive on my screen.
can extrude out a circle face?? instead of a square one?

Hmm, I see what you mean, of course you can, provided you actually have a circle face to extrude.

I´d guess you´d have to split some faces to get this face or something. I don´t know how to create the face though ... I suppose Split Polygon tool doesn´t work for this one. (hell! that´s a lot of tweaking to do!)

there is a cube on my screen... i select the top face... the i click extrude face... i want a circle one... instead of a square

You would have to create a circular face using Split Polygon or any of the other available poly tools. It is impossible (as far as I know) to extrude anything other than the face's shape.

i know how to split and make an almost circle face but i was looking for an easier way.. now i guess there is no way!!
