Problem converting 7.0 mbinary to 6.0

Im having problems converting my 7.0 .mb file to 6.0 Before I saved the file on 7.0 I deleted the history and frooze the transformations. The problem lies in the version number saved in the .mb Is there anyway to convert to 6.0 with out access to a computer with ver 7.0?

I wish i saved it as a .obj

can't recall it's name, but there's a program on Highend3D.com that will convert the MB to whatever maya version you want. not sure if it's been updated to 7, but you could try anyhow.

us maya ascii instead. then edit the saved maya 7 .ma file, changing the required program from 7 to 6. See the tips & tricks thread for more detailed explanation.
