Rendering froma a Text file

Hey guys,

Anyone got any deas on how to render from a text file, I've created the text file and saved it as a .bat file and ran the file but nothing happens???

I'm running windows and maya 6.0

i dont know about that, but how about rendering from the command line, you kno, start, run, cmd

render [cameraname] -mr[for mental ray] "Directory of scene"

make sure to include the " "

thats how I do it

Cheers dude, know about that tho,

What I want to do is batch reneder a series of files (which I know you can do vai a text file) it lets you render multiple scenes in a file (or multiple files) so you maximuse the usage of your PC when your in bed!!

I had a book on it, think it was maya 6 the complete reference that told ya how to do it but I cant get hold of it now as the library's not got it anymore. Might have to buy it
