Default Difference between NURBS and Poly's

Hi i was wondering what is the difference between NURBS and Poly's?
I always use Poly's cause thats told to me to be the best for game design, is this true?

geez... this has been said 9,000,000 timse...

its up to personal prefs, but ONLY polys for games.

Still a whole bunch of people use polys, more than they use NURBS.
