Default problem with post render file

After my scene has rendered, I used maya software, production quality, avi file, my windows media player nor my other players that i have on my computer will run the file. if anyone could suggest a solution it would be much appreciated

when you render an image or animation as a avi or quick time . you need change it in format , there he ask you what kind format do you want save your image. jpg or avi. if the avi can play with quick time . use the most powerfull program and free that can play any kind of movie or song call VLM media player. download it and play it . enjoy it. if does not . convert your file to different format with this program Vlm media player.
