How do I enable a disabled selection

Hi,
I am new to this forum but not so new with maya. After searching the forum, I am still unable to resolve my problem. Ever since switching between working with my files in Maya at school and at home, which BTW they use MACS and I have a PC, I been having this problem where I am unable to transfer my UV's. When I look at the script editor, a warning shows up and says, "Warning: can't peform polyTransfer1 on disabled selection.

Now I did get some feedback through searching this forum, but all they say to do is delete the history. I tried doing that and I still get this warning. So how do I enable a disabled selection?
